We are developing the Global Conservation Standard as well as Agroforestry assets commercially with considerable reinforcement of indiginous peoples rights and cultures. All of these are carbon market sell side activities. Critically GCS has been extremely well received by everyone introduced to the standard particularly REDD projects and financiers.

However critical to the success of a carbon sell side market is a carbon 'buy side' market. No buyers, no market, no money. We are simultaneously developing a PFI driven buy side market coupled with an investment friendly structure based on ecomic incentives and drivers.

This has had significant positive effects in the Philippines right the way through to the government as well as similar effects in Cambodia.

We have avoided politics but instead developed a framework which guidelines the economic and social structure of conservation and buffer zone activites that is flexible enough to adjust to cultural and bioregional issues but has a harden economic backbone. Perhaps this can be of help for the negotiations and development of thinking?
