If the REDD is permanent but the forest owners still use the trees from their forest for domestic purposes then what happens to the stability of carbon content of that particular forest.

It is clear that the carbon content is unstable so as a result what happens to the cash payment of the stabilized carbon content of permanent REDD project.

Does the payment from the carbon credits decrease or is just stable?

What are some of the contingency mechanisms that PNG can put in place?

Samting blg tingting...

This is such important work, cheers.

Josil, you can start with the Climate, Community and Biodiversity Alliance's CCB Standards http://www.climate-standards.org/index.html. They focus on environmental as well as social monitoring standards.

I liked the above article. I will be caring out a study in the Peruvian Amazon with a community forest. I will need to carry a Social Impact Assessment (SIA) prior to the REDD project interventions. For my study, I will be developing monitoring indicators to monitor the social aspect of the REDD project. Do you have any recommendation on how I should carry out the SIA based on good and credible guidelines? Thank you!
