In spite of all the limitations that the UN has, it is still the only intergovernmental mechanism we have which looks not only at climate change but all other issues related to development, peace and human rights." Sadly, the Poznan gathering seems to be indicating that for indigenous peoples, this is true. As Victoria notes, “I hope that the UN is not going to become irrelevant in the face of this.
